Dr Fryer is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties for cosmetic and plastic surgery. He graduated from the University of Utah with high honors and then completed his medical school training at the same institution. Dr. Fryer is a fully trained general surgeon through the University of Arizona. He returned to the University of Utah for a plastic surgery residency and was trained in all aspects of cosmetic and plastic surgery. Upon completion of his training he was selected to remain at the University of Utah as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery to help train and instruct surgical residents in cosmetic and plastic surgery. During his tenure at the University of Utah he cared for some of the most difficult and challenging plastic surgery cases in the intermountain west.
